How do I change my screen resolution to 1024 X 768?

1. Minimise all open windows until you are back to the wallpaper.
2. Click anywhere with your right mouse button and select 'Properties' from the menu that appears.
3. This will open up a box called "Display properties" with a number of tabs. One of these should be 'Settings'. Select this tab.
4. The tab that displays will have an option called 'Screen resolution'. Within this will be a way of changing the screen to '1024 X 768', usually with a slider.
   1. Left mouse click and hold the slider to move it to the new setting.
5. Your PC will show you the new screen layout and ask you to confirm that this is acceptable. If it is click 'Yes'.
6. If this dosn't work, please call the helpdesk and ask for their advice on how to change your screen resolution to 1024X 768.
